Talking Hands and Confabulations

A short experimental docu-voodle by moi featuring a schmooze of some sort and hence her confabulation on an incident that already seems long gone. The tattle of and on manus was captured in Oslo, Norway - 2008.09.13 - just the day after the world's first private screening of voodles and lumieres in a not so crowded public space near Kuba. Moi insists on that what we view are not only the (prehensile) extremities of the superior limbs of two voodlers and hence the representation of the female gaze, but it's the confirmation on and the commitment towards voodling and free subjective frozen frames. Talking hands are mashed-up with the help of Gurdonark and Colin Mutchler - both vital and vibrant members of ccmixter.org.

After a break of almost two months - gathering voodle-footage from the far east and the now old east-vest - LOMEG_ROM waves a friendly and grateful hand at The Lumiere Founders and at the godfather of LOMEG_ROM, The Co-Coiner of the voodle-term and The First Voodler of them all; Sam Renseiw at spacetwo : patalab. Certainly a not too short experimental lunch-break-docu-voodle by bk featuring a playful and fast-edit of early test-footage re-discovered and now screened as a friendly gesture to a very dear friend - all shot in Oslo, Norway - 2008.01.29 and edited 2008.08.05. It's not Bergman reinvented but a reflection on possible alternatives - yet most of all it's an expression of gratitude for a very inspiring work and many utmost stimulating deep perceptions! View what you probably already have seen - now altered in the spirit of H.P. Lovecraft made very much audible by ccmixter's artemisstrong.

View the novelty of a 'lumiere-group-portrait' that takes the temperature on a very particular time lag. While nobody knows that no picture was taken, Gurdonark complains in a utmost merriment and gaiety way about too many clowns and not enough car.

View the deep and sound space perturbed only by a placing - or by being placed - in nearness or contiguity. Even though Juxtaposition might be a very unsafe criterion of continuity... don't be afraid, gurdonark's sound meditation, alt. mediation, provides us with plenty of headspace, clear tectonic views and - although many voices - one mass. Looking for contiguity, perturbative spaces, moving mass and the sorts; what more can you ask for, b.k.?!
