.
The act of making up your mind about something – the burden of decision was his - he drew his conclusions quickly … The trait of resoluteness as evidenced by firmness of character or purpose - a man of unusual decisiveness … A position or opinion or judgment reached after consideration - a decision unfavourable to the opposition - his conclusion took the evidence into account - satisfied with the panel's determination … The outcome of a game or contest - the team dropped three decisions in a row … (Boxing) a victory won on points when no knockout has occurred - had little trouble in taking a unanimous decision over his opponent".
...conclusion, conclusion, decisiveness, determination, determination, appointment, assignment, call, casting lots, choice, designation, drawing lots, final result, firmness, judgement, judgment, mind, move, naming, option, outcome, pick, predetermination, resoluteness, resolution, resolution, resolve, result, resultant, selection, sortition, split decision, termination.
Cutting off - division - detachment of a part … The act of deciding - act of settling or terminating, as a controversy, by giving judgment on the matter at issue - determination, as of a question or doubt - settlement - conclusion – ‘The decision of some dispute.’ -- Atterbury. An account or report of a conclusion, especially of a legal adjudication or judicial determination of a question or cause; as, a decision of arbitrators; a decision of the Supreme Court. The quality of being decided; prompt and fixed determination; unwavering firmness; as, to manifest great decision.
Decision}, {Determination}, {Resolution}. Usage: Each of these words has two meanings, one implying the act of deciding, determining, or resolving; and the other a habit of mind as to doing. It is in the last sense that the words are here compared. Decision is a cutting short. It implies that several courses of action have been presented to the mind, and that the choice is now finally made. It supposes, therefore, a union of promptitude and energy. Determination is the natural consequence of decision. It is the settling of a thing with a fixed purpose to adhere. Resolution is the necessary result in a mind which is characterized by firmness. It is a spirit which scatters (resolves) all doubt, and is ready to face danger or suffering in carrying out one's determinations. Martin Luther was equally distinguished for his prompt decision, his steadfast determination, and his inflexible resolution.

One who visits – one who comes or goes to see another, as in civility or friendship – ‘This great flood of visitors.’ – Shakespeare. A superior, or a person lawfully appointed for the purpose, who makes formal visits of inspections to a corporation or an institution – ‘The king is the visitor of all lay corporations.’ – Blackstone. Someone who visits, visitant, caller, company, guest, invitee, traveler, traveller, visiting fireman … To have a visitor in your dream means good news will reach you. It also foretells of new conditions or changes. Seeing a darkly dressed visitor, forewarns of illness or accidents that might befall on you or someone you know.

Milton. The act of a naval commander who visits, or enters on board, a vessel belonging to another nation, for the purpose of ascertaining her character and object, but without claiming or exercising a right of searching the vessel.
